Hillingdon Volunteer Awards 2012 “Something to be proud of”
The Hillingdon Volunteer Awards are upon us once again and with it starts the exciting search for outstanding volunteers. Hillingdon relies on its amazing band of volunteers to keep its many volunteer and community groups functioning and delivering their essential services. They give their time, energy and enthusiasm and play a vital role in our community – for this we believe that they deserve a huge thank you. Hillingdon Association of Voluntary Services, The London Borough of Hillingdon, Hillingdon Interfaith Network, Uxbridge College and Dovetail Community Outreach have joined together to launch the 2012 event.
If you know of a volunteer that has stood out from the crowd, has gone above and beyond the call of duty, has shown exceptional commitment, has been an inspiration or is just ‘special’ for any other reason, then why not nominate them for a Hillingdon Volunteer Award.
For this year only and to commemorate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee there is a new award category; The Jubilee Lifelong Achievement Award. This award will replace the Volunteer of the Year award for 2012.
