Family Support Worker
VACANCY NOTICE – FAMILY SUPPORT WORKER
Yiewsley Cornerstone Centre is a local charity and the community project of Yiewsley Baptist Church. We are commissioned by the local authority to supply Children’s Centre Services in Yiewsley and together with other funders we offer an all age service.
We are looking for someone with the vision, drive and skills to make a real difference to our organisation and to the community we serve. Working under the Children’s Centre guidance the successful applicant will gain experience and knowledge of working within a SureStart setting and a local community charity.
Full time (30 hours per week – 5days) - Scale JNC13
Salary £17,991 per annum incl. outer London allowance (pro rata)
You will be able to offer support, guidance and practical help to families and their under 5’s as part of the overall objectives of the children’s centre. Ensuring access to opportunities for children, by helping families to engage in services at Children’s Centres or by offering services tailored to specific needs. Working directly with families within the Children’s Centre or at their home you will be addressing the specific needs of children and families from identification to intervention and review. This role will also allow you to work with other key professionals to improve outcomes.
A valid driving licence and access to own transport is essential.
