Home from Hospital Volunteers

We are looking to recruit 3 volunteers for our Home from Hospital Service, who could commit to 1-2 days a week for 2-3 hours to offer quality time, company and confidence building.

Our Home From Hospital service provides support to our clients who have recently been discharged from Hospital.
The volunteer would be required to offer practical support for up to six weeks after discharge in the clients home.

Tasks may include checking the client has enough food and drink in their home following discharge, checking there is adequate heating in the property. Helping the client to regain their confidence and supporting them to achieve or maintain their independence. To accompany clients on visits e.g. hospital visits, shopping or maybe attending a lunch club for the first time.

Training and support will be provided.
