HAVS Health and Social Care  

Mission Statement

The HAVS Health & Social Care Service exists to ensure that the voluntary sector is able to be seen as an equal partner in the local health and social care economy and acts as a conduit between the voluntary sector and statutory & strategic partners in all matters related to health and social care provision across the London Borough of Hillingdon.

Aims

• To strengthen the voice of voluntary sector organisations through the provision of the Hillingdon Voluntary Sector Health & Social Care Forum (VSH&SCF).
• To develop ongoing strategic partnerships and ensure that voluntary sector organisations are represented within all relevant planning, commissioning, delivery and monitoring structures.
• To provide tailored information, advice and support to voluntary organisations in order to ensure the sustainability and effectiveness of the voluntary sector in Hillingdon.

Outcomes

• The collective view of the voluntary sector on matters relating to health and social care in Hillingdon is recorded via the VSH&SCF and shared across all relevant statutory and strategic partners.
• Voluntary sector organisations experience improved levels of inclusion, empowerment, representation, influence and effectiveness across health and social care structures locally.
• Voluntary sector involvement in local, regional and national planning and consultation exercises is improved.
• Voluntary sector training and development requirements are identified and provision to meet needs outlined is identified.
• Voluntary sector organisations report increased access to information, advice and support relevant to health and social care in Hillingdon.
• The Health and Social Care Economy in Hillingdon experiences improved communication with and involvement from voluntary sector organisations, increased partnership and consortium working and enhanced levels of good practice locally.
