Elders4Change: Empowering Asian Elders

This event is being organised in partnership by the Asian Resource Centre of Croydon (ARCC) and The Asian Health Agency’s BME Leadership & Engagement Project and is supported by The London Civic Forum.
The conference is being held in response to ARCC’s recent consultation with Asian Elders from a wide range of communities.

Objectives of Conference:

  • Empower older people & carers to have their voices heard
  • Highlight opportunities & support Older People & Carers in getting involved in local organisations, forums, services etc
  • Tackle barriers to engagement
  • Improve older peoples representation in working groups, forums etc that shape local services for older people & carers
  • Build alliances & links between & across diverse communities & between older people, community groups & public sector bodies on issues affecting older people.

The event will provide an opportunity for delegates to:

• discuss & negotiate partnerships with the Asian Resource Centre of Croydon and The Asian Health Agency
• link with/join the new Elders4Change forum
• discuss and get involved in Pan London Public Institutions and Decision Making Processes

Costs per delegate
FREE but places must be booked in advance.
